Spring Medical Systems launches its online ARRA HIT Stimulus Quick Start Guide

The Quick Start Guide is a set of web tools and information designed to offer insight into the ARRA HIT Stimulus program and to help practices start using an EHR/EMR system.

November 2, 2009 - Houston, TexasSpring Medical Systems, a CCHIT-CertifiedSM leading provider of software solutions for small- and medium-sized medical practices, announced today the launch of its online ARRA HIT Stimulus Quick Start Guide as part of its new company website.

The ARRA HIT Stimulus Quick Start Guide is designed to help healthcare providers and practices learn about the ARRA/HITECH incentives program allowing them to adopt an Electronic Health Record (EHR) system and qualify for the monetary incentives.

"There is so much misinformation out there about these stimulus payments that we wanted to provide a place where physicians can link directly to the Act and related government documents.  We have also added analysis of the criteria so a physician can understand how to qualify for the bonus incentives.  Finally we want physicians to know that SpringCharts EHR may be the easiest-to-use solution that will have everything needed to qualify for the incentive payments"
Jack B. Smyth, President & CEO of Spring Medical
commented.

Spring Medical recognizes the need for a one-stop online guide to answer Stimulus questions where physicians can read the latest information available on ARRA and HITECH, read Spring Medical and industry analysis, and get step by step information on what physicians need to know to adopt an EHR and qualify for the stimulus incentives.

The new ARRA HIT Stimulus Quick Start Guide will also host a variety of web tools including presentations, industry articles, FAQ’s, links to industry-related sources and videos designed to assist medical practices as they move to Electronic Health Records.

About ARRA HITECH Stimulus Program
The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 (or ARRA) is an economic stimulus law that has allocated approximately $20 Billion to pay hospitals and physicians who adopt Healthcare IT technology such as Electronic Health Records (EHR) and ePrescribing. Most of the funds will be available as incentives through the Medicare and Medicaid reimbursement systems to assist hospitals and providers in adopting EHR technology.
