Dr. Setters is a Board Certified Family Practitioner with
an office manager, nurse and receptionist. He runs SpringCharts
V7 and Lytec 2004 on Windows XP Pro and NDC Medical Connect
on a Windows XP Pro client.
He has Windows XP Home workstations for his staff, his
office, and for each of his exam rooms. The exam rooms
have their PCs built into the counters with a wireless
keyboard, wireless mouse, and a flat panel LCD monitor
on
the counter.
"Prior to installing NDC Medical Connect, we would
print the SpringCharts Routing Slips and give them to
our billing person who manually entered the codes from
the Routing Slip into Lytec. She also had to manually
monitor patient arrivals to ensure encounters were completed
and Routing Slips were printed for each patient.

Medical Connect, it is now easy to identify the patients
who do not have billing information for their encounters.

in all, the staff spends about half the time with billing
activity that it spent in the past.

job of making sure we receive fair payment for all services
